Our practical sessions are run to cover any tips our members need when using Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop and Photoshop Elements. Members are invited to bring in images on a pen stick and to edit them in their preferred program. We usually have three computers set up for this and we are pleased to arrange these sessions whenever our members request them. Members also meet up in various locations for evenings out with their cameras, and more of these sessions are planned for 2016.
These range from a simple evening as a group chatting about photography, to discussions and demonstrations catering for specific aspects such as lighting, composition plus camera settings and tips and tricks.
Print and digital competitions
We run several competitions throughout the year covering printed and digital images, both colour and monochrome. Our judges aim to be informative and encouraging, rather than highly critical, and the popularity for these evenings has soared in the past 18 months. Full details of dates can be found in the calendar section. Competition’s rules can be found here.
Our guest speakers cover a wide range of topics, from publishing to printing, setting out as a learner to becoming an accomplished amateur or professional photographer. We are always open to suggestions if you know someone who would like to talk at our club.
