The Leominster Photographic Club (LPC) commits to ensuring that equality is incorporated in all aspects of its development. This includes equality of access to all activities or services.
LPC respects the rights dignity of every person and will treat everyone equally. This is regardless of age, ability, gender, race, ethnicity, religious beliefs sexual orientation and social/economic status.
The Club (LPC) commits to everyone having the right to enjoy photography without threat of intimidation, harassment or abuse.
LPC has a commitment to ensuring that all activities or events are physically accessible to all.
All members have a responsibility to oppose discriminatory behaviour and to promote equality of opportunity.
Data Protection Policy
Leominster Photographic Club (LPC) is a voluntary club, run as described in the Club Constitution. We use information which Club Members give us to help with the legitimate interests of running the Club under the Data Protection Act 2018 (which incorporated the EU General Data Protection Regulations, GDPR). The Club collects and processes members information such as name, address, telephone number(s), email address, dates of membership, photographs submitted for competitions and events, competition scores and other information needed for Club activities.
We also keep records of members on the committee, judges, lecturers and prospective members, to help with the running of the Club. This means that we list the names and positions of the club officers and committee on the website, but not any contact details. The Club programme is also available on the web site including the names of anyone presenting or judging. We also publish the images submitted for competitions including the authors name. A register of current members is available to Committee members. Whilst information on past members is kept in a secure safe by The Treasurer.
The Committee use a current list of members to communicate by ” blind carbon copy” email with current members about Club activities.
The Club will never share membership details with third parties for marketing, including electronic marketing. Retention of membership recors us for up to 5 years. The Treasurer/Membership Secretary reviews these records periodically. A past member can request immediate deletion of any personal information. The Club keeps historical records about the Club including the programme, competitions, award winners and membership numbers.
